Canadair DC-4M Argonaut at Rome

The Canadair DC-4M was a Canadian adaptation and improvement of the Douglas DC-4 developed soon after the end of World War II. The Canadair, called the ‘Argonaut’ by BOAC, was fitted with Rolls-Royce Merlin engines and cabin pressurization. For BOAC it was an ideal interim aircraft while awaiting delivery of new post-war aircraft.
