Prime Minister Gough Whitlam Dismissal

Following the dismissal of his government by Governor-General Sir John Kerr, Prime Minister Whitlam watches on as Kerr’s official secretary reads the proclamation dissolving Parliament. Whitlam then responds with his famous line: ‘Well may we say God Save The Queen, for nothing will save the Governor-General.’
