‘Lunch Atop A Skyscraper’
RCA Building Rockefeller Center
A group of ironworkers pose for an unknown photographer as they eat lunch high above the streets of Manhattan. This publicity photo was taken on 2 October 1932 on the under-construction RCA Building – one of the main buildings in the massive Rockefeller Center development – and published in the New York Herald Tribune. Several well-known photographers of the day were present for the shoot, but none has been credited as the photographer.
