This was one of the many designs commissioned by Tooth & Company to promote its Resch’s DA Dinner Ale brand. They were usually one-off illustrations painted directly on the inside or outside walls of pubs on whatever size space was available. Most of the designs depicted sporting pursuits, in this case football.
